Iniesta, Dani Alves and Falcao Support International Football Fan Day

More than 400 players, clubs and fans from all over the world to select the most important day in the history of football

Hinch.as, football‘s social network, has opened the worldwide vote to select the date which will celebrate International Football Fan Day. Having secured UNESCO‘s approval, the initiative has already attracted votes and active support from over 400 major players, including Andres Iniesta, Dani Alves, Radamel Falcao, Gerardo "Tata" Martino, Diego Forlan, Fernando Llorente, Bambam Zamorano, Alexandre Pato, Jonas Gutierrez, Diego Lugano, Alvaro Recoba, Mariano Andujar, Leo Moura, Andre Santos, Harry Redknapp, Rodrigo Palacio, Ezequiel Lavezzi y Rubens Sambueza, Cristian Gimenez, Raul Jimenez, Paolo Guerrero, Juan Antonio Pizzi, and Andres D‘Alessandro.

Conceived over a year ago, the International Fan Day campaign celebrates football fans‘ timeless devotion to the sport, which overcomes social, cultural and political barriers. The worldwide vote will be held on Hinch.as, where clubs, players and fans meet online to suggest and discuss their greatest football milestones within the 100% football environment the social network provides.

There are more than 200 suggested dates so far, including classic games, breath-taking plays, unforgettable goals and saves, an idol‘s birthday or a social need the sport has fulfilled. Clubs, players and fans are invited to nominate the most memorable moments from the sport they love and vote to choose the date to celebrate their passion.

The vote to choose the most important day in the history of football will run until 7 November 2014. Until then, the world of football will be listening to its fans on www.hinch.as.
